How Will South Africa Harness the 4th Industrial Revolution for Youth Employment?

Johannesburg - May 22nd - RSVP Now
According to an ITU report, the digital economy has the potential to enhance productivity, employment and income amongst young people in Africa.

However, the Rockefeller Foundation found that insufficient attention has been paid to the need for digital skills and interventions that are required to prepare young people for employment in the digital economy.

We need to ask ourselves:
  • What frameworks measure digital economy employment skills?
  • Which digital skills are most in demand in South Africa?
  • How can youth obtain these skills?
  • What interventions improve digital literacy and enable us to compete in the global digital economy?
Please RSVP now to join the next Technology Salon South Africa that will bring together technologists and development professionals to explore how we can extend digital economy opportunity to benefit all South Africans. RSVP is required for participation.

Our lively, in-person conversation will be guided by lead discussants, including: Please RSVP now to join them and your peers in an intimate and informal debate where your ideas, opinions, and participation is actively encouraged.

We’ll have coffee and snacks for a morning rush, but seating is limited. Once we reach our 35-person capacity there will be a waiting list!
