How Can We Support Women Leaders and Entrepreneurs?

San Francisco - June 26th - RSVP Now
The availability of mobile technology has fundamentally changed what's possible for women practicing entrepreneurship and promoting resilience in vulnerable communities around the world. Mobile technology can help increase access to critical information, services, and financing that can save lives, but the technology itself is not enough.
What factors contribute to an enabling environment for women to use technology in entrepreneurship and resilience? Who are the promising local women leaders? How can the private, public, and philanthropic sectors play supporting roles? Where does technology enter the intervention timeline? How can technology intervention designers ensure gender equity and greater impact?
Please RSVP now to join the next Technology Salon SF Bay Area to explore narratives from women entrepreneurs in Syria and Lebanon, disaster workers in Indonesia, and emerging technology innovators in Sierra Leone. We’ll explore questions like:
  • What does women's entrepreneurial leadership look like in developing countries?
  • How can we support women changemakers in industries from agriculture to hospitality?
  • How have partnerships added possibilities to scale women’s leadership?
  • How are blockchain and AI adding to women’s opportunities?
  • Who is innovating in mobile information systems management and what are they learning?
Please RSVP now to join these discussion leads in microfinance, disaster relief, and mobile technology to share examples of what has worked, what has failed, how we all can align with emerging women leaders We’ll have coffee and breakfast treats for a morning rush, but seating is limited to ensure an intimate discussion. Be sure to RSVP quickly. Once we reach our 35- person capacity there will be a waiting list!

About the Technology Salon

The Technology Salon™ is an intimate, informal, and in person, discussion between information and communication technology experts and international development professionals, with a focus on both:
  • technology's impact on donor-sponsored technical assistance delivery, and
  • private enterprise driven economic development, facilitated by technology.
Our meetings are lively conversations, not boring presentations. Attendance is capped at 35 people - and frank participation with ideas, opinions, and predictions is actively encouraged.

It's also a great opportunity to meet others motivated to employ technology to solve vexing development problems. Join us today!
