September 30, 2015 (New York, NY) – The Sons of Serendip (SoS) have made headlines for their unique fusion of R&B, gospel and neo soul with considerable classical expertise to create a uniquely sumptuous and emotionally stirring sound.  On October 23rd, the quartet will release their second recording, CHRISTMAS: Beyond The Lights, bringing this sound to orchestral and acoustic interpretations of modern and traditional pop classics, arranged with vocals, cello, harp and piano
Best known for winning fourth place and the hearts of America on season nine of America’s Got Talent, the classically trained Quartet - Micah Christian (lead vocals), Kendall Ramseur (cello, vocals), Mason Morton (harp), Cordaro Rodriguez (piano, vocals) - will also embark on a multi-city North American holiday concert tour, which includes notable dates at The Schimmel Center in NYC, The Palace Theater in Stamford, CT and the new Pick Steiger recital hall in Evanston, IL.
Sons of Serendip’s hit arrangement of “O Holy Night” (as performed on Fox News’ 2014 “Fox & Friends Christmas” special) stands as the anchor track on Beyond the Lights, also appearing as a bonus track in a gorgeous instrumental version.  Most anticipated is the group’s first recording of an original composition with “Miss You Most”, a heartfelt ballad of long distance love during the Christmas season.  Other holiday favorites on the album ranging from the secular (“Little Drummer Boy” and “O Come Emmanuel”) to traditionally festive (“Let it Snow” and “The Christmas Song”) are all tied together by the group’s rousing, signature sing-along sound that has made Sons of Serendip an ensemble poised to stand the test of time.
In 2014-2015, Sons of Serendip took their notoriety to the next level in a thrilling year that included the release of their “riveting” (Black Grooves) debut studio recording, a self-titled compilation of the group’s most memorable performances from AGT, which took top Billboard charting spots in 12 categories including Top Current Album, Heatseaker, Internet Album and Independent Album.  They memorably performed twice with the Boston Pops as special guest artists, and also appeared alongside John Legend and Jay Leno at private VIP events.

The Sons of Serendip (SoS) are a musical ensemble of four friends, who through a series of serendipitous events, came together in graduate school at Boston University and auditioned for America's Got Talent. SoS quickly became an audience favorite, winning fourth place in the 2014 competition.  The members are, Micah Christian, a teacher from Randolph, MA and the lead singer for the group; pianist/vocalist Cordaro Rodriguez, an attorney from Charlotte, NC; Kendall Ramseur, a cellist and cello instructor from Charlotte, NC and harpist Mason Morton, a teacher from Atlanta. All have been playing their instruments since childhood.  Watch Sons of Serendip’s unforgettable AGT profile introduction video here:
