PTA News

Welcome to the Bill Roberts PTA 2021-2022!

Happy First Week of School!  As you came back to campus, I hope you noticed the updated landscaping and regraded baseball field. We were able to use some of the PTA funds raised in 2020-2021 to ensure that our grounds look great and are safe as we return to campus. Thank you to everyone who contributed to our fundraising efforts! We would also like to the thank Logan House Coffee for donating coffee for the first day of school to our teachers, staff and kindergarten parents. We love to support community businesses that support Bill Roberts!

Our first PTA Meeting is September 8th at 6:30pm outside the school. Everyone is welcome to attend. Please bring your own chair and child care will be provided (outside).

"Take Me Away" Greet & Give Event

Say Yasss to our Take Me Away Greet & Give party on September 18th!

Bill Roberts parents Sarah Bartles & Bret DeBenedictis and Cate & Craig Mueller are hosting a travel-themed evening where you can mingle outdoors with BR parents, teachers and staff, play games, win prizes, and – if you’re inclined and able to – make a donation to support our great school! So get out that beret or sombrero, find your favorite camping shirt, or whatever inspires your get-away travel spirit and RSVP to the partay!

For obvious reasons we will need to cap attendance and will require proof of vaccination or masks for the unvaccinated. This is an adults-only event that will be held in Sarah and Bret’s backyard.

School News

And we're back!

The first week of school is always exciting for students, parents, teachers and staff! We expected some hiccups, but we've been very pleased with how smoothly the transition seems to be for most of us. Thank you for your smiles and words of encouragement!

Remember that Friday is early release day for all students!

Drop off and Pick up

No doubt you have noticed the intensity of the parking lot in the morning and at the end of the day.  In order to make the parking lot more efficient, please abide by the following:

Kiss & Go is for quick drop off and pickup only and is not intended to provide drivers with a place to park. Please do not leave your car there and come into the school. Anyone in the Kiss & Go lane should remain in their car and either let kids off and move on or wait for children to be picked up.

The first lane is the Bus and Day Care lane only; no cars should be moving through that lane. Don’t add to your stress level. Park on the street and walk in.

Bike and Scooter Locks
Establish an early habit with locking bikes and scooters on the school grounds near the doors and by the playground. Bikes locked to the fence next to the baseball field are routinely stolen.

Restricted Access to the Building
For safety and health reasons, currently no visitors are allowed inside the school building, including parents and families. Thank you for understanding, as your students’ safety is our main concern.
