Winter Giving Campaigns

Every year we try to find meaningful ways to spread cheer and joy before heading into Winter Break. This season we have two special ways to give to others by supporting students who may need some extra joy!

Adopt a Family
First, we are continuing our tradition of adopting families in our community. The SignUp Genius with family members, ages and wishes will be sent out after Thanksgiving Break if you wish to adopt a family.

Cole Elementary Gift Campaign
The second opportunity connects Bill Roberts with the students of Cole Arts and Sciences Academy. The leadership at Cole created an Amazon Wishlist to gift every student in their school with a toy and book before they go on Winter Break. Items can be shipped directly to the Cole team. Please purchase items on the Wishlist before December 10th so they are delivered before Winter Break begins.

In addition to the Amazon Wishlist items, we are also collecting hats, gloves, scarves, and neck warmers for the Cole students. We need ~280 items to supply enough for all students. These items can be dropped off at the school before December 14th. Sign up to donate Winter clothing items here.

Thank you to everyone who ordered wreaths to support the middle school! They will be ready for pick up on December 3rd.

School Choice for Middle School

As the DPS School Choice process for next year approaches, we want to share our amazing middle school with current Bill Roberts families!

This choice season we will have a combination of virtual presentations and Q&A’s with Dr. Cohen, and in-person tours during evening hours.

We recommend coming to both to get the full picture of everything Bill Roberts has to offer. Sign up here to attend any of our events.

Shakespeare Club

The 38th Annual Denver Public Schools Shakespeare Festival will be held on Friday, April 22nd. This year, the Festival is currently planned as an in-person event! As is tradition, the Bill Roberts Shakespeare Club is planning to attend and perform at this celebration of the life and works of William Shakespeare.

Shakespeare Club is FREE and open to everyone 3rd grade and up. We have 30 slots available this year for 3rd - 5th graders, and 15 slots available for Middle Schoolers.

Our first meeting will be Thursday, December 2nd. We will meet on Thursdays after school in Ms. J’s room (128) from 2:45 to 4:00. Whenever possible, we will work in larger hallway areas or outdoors, so come prepared for the weather.

Shakespeare Club is a serious team commitment. Please thoughtfully consider this when deciding whether to sign up. If you have questions, please contact Ms. J at

The district has the expertise and the ability to find funds to make the switch, they just need to know this is important to the community. If this is important to you, please tell them by adding your name to our list here.

If you have any questions, please contact Heather Jackson:
