In Bloom
This spring marks Born's return to the children's sandal market. Built on lightweight, flexible rubber outsoles, the collection is highlighted by oversized floral embellishments in an alluring spring palette of silver, fuchsia and white.
The appeal of Born is rooted in organic styling coupled with bona fide comfort features. "While a lot of children's brands move into synthetic materials, we're staying the course with leather uppers and linings, fully padded socks and enhancing the comfort attributes of the shoes," says David Kern, vice president of marketing and sales for Born Kids.

It all starts with an Opanka construction where the uppers, sock linings and outsoles are hand-sewn together in a single process. Not only does this method make the sandals extremely flexible, it also creates a natural cushioning effect. As a result, the under foot conforms and rebounds with every movement, providing a consistently comfortable environment for children's feet.
The collection is available in both toddler and grade school size runs. Suggested retail price for the Little Flower is $48 while the Cha Cha is priced at $48. —Meagan Walker
