MAY 2019

Welcome to our May 2019 DMPonline newsletter!

Our monthly newsletter will keep you updated about new features, functionality, and important days for your calendar.

THIS MONTH

You will find a summary from our latest DMPonline release, our new 'how to' video showing how we have integrated the H2020 projects database, Sabina Anderberg explains national developments in Sweden for DMPs, and we share dates for upcoming DMPonline user community drop-in sessions & other events.

Customising DMPonline

We are currently offering two main subscription packages for DMPonline: basic and enhanced. With the basic package you can upload your logo and add some links to the header, whereas with the enhanced package you can define the colours, page content and URL. This allows you to make DMPonline look and feel like your institution's webpage. In this blog post Magdalena explains what you can customise with DMPonline. Read more

Phasing out information for non-subscribers

Each month, Magdalena reaches out universities who have admin access to DMPonline, but did not get back to us in regards their subscription. This month we will continue with the phasing out. as mentioned in our last newsletter, we have been slowly phasing out admin access for institutions who do not have subscription. Magdalena has been working hard over the past few months to get in touch with all institutions that may be affected to ensure they are informed and to avoid any difficulties during the transition. From the end of May 2019 only subscribers will be able to create their own templates or customise funder templates. If you have any concerns or questions about the phasing out process, please get in touch

DMPonline release notes: May 2019

Our team of developers have been working very hard, and we have some exciting news about our latest release at the end of May 2019. We have integrated the OpenAIRE API so users creating H2020 DMPs can now select their project from a list. We have also released the full text API, created a separate admin permission for plan reviewers, and fixed some template publishing and export format display issues.

National development in Sweden for Data Management Plans by Sabina Anderberg

Sabina Anderberg (Business Developer) from Stockholm University explains national development in Sweden for Data Management Plans.

"As from 2019, all who are awarded a grant from the Swedish Research Council must have a data management plan (DMP) if the research generates research data."

The Swedish requirements build on the Science Europe guidelines, and make the administrating organisation responsible for ensuring a DMP is in place and maintained. This means that Swedish universities are now obliged to provide the researchers with suitable support services for data management.

'How to' video showing how we have integrated the H2020 projects database

As part of the monthly newsletter we are sharing short 'how to' videos to help you get the most out of DMPonline. This month we are featuring a video on the integration we have done with the OpenAIRE API. This provides grant information for H2020 awards. Users can now search for and select their current project as shown in the video.

Please let us know which features in particular you would like demos of and we can prepare these and add them to the user guide.
