• Applications are now being accepted for the $6,000 Campus Life and Community at Tech Scholarship. Campus Services awards five $6,000 scholarships to students who demonstrate they have made a positive impact on the Tech community through their leadership, scholarship, and service. Scholarship criteria and the application are available on the Campus Services Scholarship website.
• U.C. Berkeley's Jim Demmel is presenting this year's School of Computational Science and Engineering Distinguished Lecture. His lecture, Communication Avoiding Algorithms for Linear Algebra and Beyond, begins at 11 a.m. in the Klaus Building, Room 1116E. Demmel is chair of Berkeley's Computer Science Division.
