Exploding Pumpkin Challenge

With Halloween just around the corner, we have conducted an experiment to find out how many rubber bands it would take to explode a pumpkin! Our hypothesis was that it would take 160-200 rubber bands. Were we right? Read the full article here.

The Nova Scotian Institute of Science (NSIS) is sponsoring the annual Science Writing Competition! Two prizes will be awarded to the best written articles. $750 to the top graduate student and $500 to the top undergraduate student.
