2012 CPSA Convention

     

The 20th Annual International Convention of the Colored Pencil Society of America (CPSA) will be held from Jul 31st through August 4, 2012 in Covington, KY.

Icarus Art has donated an Icarus Drawing Board model 1420 as a door price. Mindful that many attendees will be from out of town, the unit will be shipped free of charge directly to the winner after the convention.

Icarus Drawing Board brochures and special convention discount coupons, valid from July 31 to August 31, will be available on the display table for door prizes.

Frequently Asked  Questions About
the Icarus Board

 

In general the Icarus board needs to be set at its maximum temperature to melt artist crayons and oil pastels or to create mono-types with Lyra Aquacolors. A medium to low temperature setting is suggested for blending and burnishing colored pencils. Lowest temperature setting is best for layering without blending.

These are just general guidelines. There are many variables that need to be considered such as surface used, how heavy or light-handed a person is, her artistic style and more.
