Welcome Danella Bennett
Sculpture in the Vineyards welcomes Danella Bennett as Curator for the 2013 Exhibition.
Danella brings with her a wealth of experience in the development and delivery of innovative and engaging programs and projects involving installations, gallery exhibitions, sculptures, video, participatory installations, site responsive interventions and street art.
Most recently, Danella has managed public art programs that were initiated to activate and enliven public spaces with challenging works, connecting contemporary artists with local communities. We are sure that her passion and enthusiasm will reflect in the quality of this year’s Exhibition, and we are excited to have her as an integral part of the team. |

2013 Ambassadors announced
Jacek Wankowski, Tim Kyle and Louisa Dawson have joined us as the official Ambassadors for 2013. As a taster of what’s to come, the Ambassador artworks have been installed and are already drawing attention – especially Tim Kyle’s figurative ‘Figure in Landscape’ that sits prominently across from Wollombi’s famous pub. This is Tim’s first year exhibiting at Sculpture in the Vineyards and he said “I have heard a lot about it from other artists, and the scope and environment attracted me. Wollombi is a theatre for a visual experience…with a natural amphitheater effect”.
Jacek Wankowski is a great supporter of the Exhibition, not only because he has a local studio in the area, but because he thinks “year on year this exhibition gets better, and I love showing my pieces in an outdoor environment”. When asked what he thinks makes Sculpture in the Vineyards unique Jacek said “its focused on the art, and its not so frenetic…there is space between the pieces so they can be appreciated at all angles, they are not restricted or lost in a crowded environment”.
