PRAY for Pierre and Marielle, global workers at the MET Centre (Missions Exposure & Training) in South Africa. They are currently in Quebec visiting their supporting churches and donors. On Monday, Pierre suffered a heart attack and had to have an angioplasty and a stent procedure. He ended up having to undergo surgery twice. He will remain in hospital for a few days; being monitored by doctors and is expected to refrain from work/ministry for one month. Thank you for praying for them.
King of Kings - Jerusalem
PRAY for King of Kings. Just recently, dozens of Jewish protesters attacked Messianic believers headed to a Hebrew worship concert which was taking place in our King of Kings church (KKCJ) in Jerusalem. Inside the King of Kings congregation, an audience listened to a concert of Hebrew worship songs, written by Israelis. The Messianic Jewish Alliance of Israel held the concert at KKCJ’s facility – one of the largest congregations in Jerusalem for Christians and Messianic Jews. But outside, something else was going on.
Pastor Chad Holland (senior pastor) reported:
"Thirty to forty religious men had gathered and they started harassing our people as they were trying to enter into worship – blowing whistles, trying to drown out the sound of worship and that alerted the first wave of the SWAT team and the police that came out. We’re certainly not the enemies of anyone worshiping God but we are believers in Yeshua. We serve one God and we believe in the Bible. We’d love to sit down and talk with them if they would ever have us. We thank the police and we covet the prayers of all the believers around the world."
Pastor Holland said, in the end, the protesters didn’t win because the concert went on as planned.
Missionaries from Cote D'Ivoire to Canada
PRAY for two missionaries from Ivory Coast who have come to the province of Quebec. Murray and Cindy Cornelius had the privilege of attending the Quebec District Conference last week and meeting Kokora Jean ‐ Didier Bedo (in picture) and Konan Antoine Brou who are sensing God's call to Canada. They were here to meet with PAOC leaders to discuss the possibility of the Assemblies of God church in Cote D'Ivoire sending french speaking missionaries to Quebec. What a privilege to partner with the African church to send believers throughout the world.
"And they sang a new song, saying: “You are worthy to take the scroll and to open its seals, because you were slain, and with your blood you purchased for God persons from every tribe and language and people and nation. Rev. 5:19
