With Insomnia54 just around the corner here is some final information about the event and what is happening throughout the weekend.

Check-in

Your Press Pass can be collected from the Ricoh Arena reception area on Thursday, or the Box Office from Friday morning (this will be clearly signposted). Opening times for check-in can be found on our website. All you need to do is give your name and organisation.

Unless you have have prior permission, your pass will not permit you to stay within the venue past 7pm - if you’d like to stay into the evening to socialise with friends, evening passes can be purchased online now for an additional £10.

Our content schedule, including stage show times and more, can be found in the printed Event Guide collected during check-in, or can be viewed online now.

Logos and Assets

The latest version of our asset pack containing logos and key art can be downloaded from our press kit. This contains correct and up-to-date branding in various formats for the event, so please feel free to use these where appropriate.

Parking

Parking is extremely limited and available on a first come first serve basis. Car Parks A and B are 24hr, whilst Car Park C closes at midnight and re-opens each day at 8am - please use Car Park C if you are planning to leave the venue before midnight as not to take spaces from other round-the-clock attendees. Parking is free for all press pass holders, however you must get this validated at the correct payment area located on the map in your Event Guide (or online here) prior to leaving the venue.

Access and Permission

Your Press Pass is equivalent to a Day Visitor ticket, and will not get you any special access to any content areas not afforded by a regular ticket. Your Press Pass does not allow you to skip queues, or arrange any special meetings with guests, exhibitors, or other attendees. Whilst we do not restrict photography or filming within the venue we ask that you be courteous with regards to other attendees and not photograph or record anyone who does not wish to be recorded. Please do not approach or invade the space of any attendees who do not consent to be filmed or otherwise participate in your recordings. Failure to comply with any of the information or instructions detailed in this email may result in you being removed from the venue and / or barred from future Insomnia events. If in doubt, please err on the side of caution and stop filming.

Press Room

There is a Press Room accessible to all Press Pass holders from around 10am to 7pm each live day, after which it will be locked. The Press Room is located in the Ricoh Arena Media Centre (ask for directions during check-in). Power and internet (via wired ethernet cables) are provided in this room, free for press to use. WiFi will not be generally available for press. We cannot be held responsible for any equipment left in this room, and all equipment must be removed before the room closes. This room is intended to be a quiet space for press and content creators to work during the day, and we ask that you be respectful of peers in the room; anyone who makes too much noise in the room, brings alcohol into the room, or otherwise damages the experiences of other press working within the room may be asked to leave and / or barred from attending as press at future Insomnia events.

Wireless Radio

If you plan to use any wireless radio microphones within and around the venue, please ensure you do not use any of the following frequencies which have been requisitioned by our events team, as this is vital to the smooth running of the show:

During check-in you will receive an Event Guide containing a venue map (view online here) and each area should be clearly signposted, but feel free to ask for specific directions to any area of the event at our Box Office.
