August Newsletter 2021

What's New?
I have returned from a 4-week trip to Guyana, South America. I am excited to share that construction has started on the foundations of the church, discipleship training center, boys and girls dorms and my future home where I will live to teach music and minister full-time. This is a huge milestone for Grace Ministries, however, a more important foundation has been laid, which is a foundation in Christ.

Furthermore, our team was able to conduct two very successful Linked Youth Camps in two remote locations of region one. The camps resulted in 100 teens attending camp with 44 professing Christ as their Savior, and to date, 24 following in baptism. One such young lady is 16-year-old Mary Mohabir from the village of Canal Bank. Mary has lost both her parents, most recently with the passing of her mother in just the last year. On the final night of camp, Mary gave a stirring testimony that “my faith will no longer be in the world or the things of man, but in Christ Jesus alone!” Thanks to Grace Ministries supporters like you, Mary is one of 150 people that have responded to the gospel in the last two months and have established a firm foundation in Christ.

Kumwater Village - Amazing Grace Baptist Church
Since January, we have devoted a great deal of our ministry time in the little village of Kumwater. This church, Amazing Grace Baptist Church has experienced more than its share of setbacks over the past several years.  The people were discouraged, and the attendance was down. However, we are starting to see signs of life coming back. I had the privilege of connecting with their worship leaders and musicians for a short bootcamp while in Country. So much potential. I am excited to see all the Lord has planned through our Worship Ministries Department here at Grace Ministries. A TTI (discipleship) training class has already started and we are praying and asking God to break the spiritual apathy in the community and to raise up men and women for God – please pray with us.

What's Next?
Myself and the other Grace Ministry members are all in the last stages of raising support to move to Guyana In January of 2022. Please be praying for us as we put our effort forward.

Prayer Points:
  1. Pray for safe travels and open doors as I visit churches to share about ministry.
  2. Pray for the church plant in the village of Tobago.
  3. Pray for the last 40% of monthly support needed for me to move and remain in Guyana.
  4. Pray for the startup funds needed for housing.
  5. Pray as we start immigration paperwork.
