Welcome to February's Newsletter 

Read on for details of the Spring conference booking, sponsorship opportunities at events and the programme for the Annual Dinner and Aligned with Industry event on 25th July.  Students, read about the closing date for the Dairy Industry Student Award 2016!

Spring Conference 14th & 15th April

The programme for the Spring Conference at the University of Reading is available to view by clicking HERE.  The topic is Probiotics, the journey continues and we have world-class speakers covering such topics as dairy applications, legislation, the effects of health claim regulations, the latest research and more. Tickets for the event are £80 + VAT for members, with concessions for students and retired members. Click HERE for the booking form (this is a pdf file so will need to be opened and printed in order to send it to me but a scanned copy is fine!).

We shall hold a cheese and wine on the 14th, after our conference visit and there is an additional charge for this to cover costs. 
Trade stands are welcomed at the event at the very reasonable cost of £150 + VAT and sponsors are always welcomed.  Sponsors will have their logo on the conference material and for £100 can display a pull-up banner or for £300 can sponsor the wine for the cheese and wine, whilst £500 will buy conference folders (alternatively, sponsors can provide their own branded versions).

Annual Dinner, Nantwich 25th July

Don't forget that this is incorporates an afternoon programme of speakers and exhibition, open from 12 noon. If you would like an exhibition stand at the event, please email me for detail.

The planning for the dinner is coming together well with a number of companies booking tables of 10.  If this is of interest to you, please email me and I can ensure tables are reserved.  Having been to the show ground to stage competition entries, what better way to spend the evening than with like minded colleagues over a nice meal and a glass or two of what you choose to drink?

We have several sponsors already, but if any company would like to sponsor aspects of the event, either the afternoon programme or the dinner, please let me know.  Opportunities include £100 per pull-up banner, £100 for gifts on tables (materials to be supplied by sponsor), £500 for sponsorship of drinks, £100 for logo on publicity material.

Students, enter for the Dairy Student Award

Don't forget to send your entry for the Student Award, to be announced at the Nantwich International Cheese Awards.  The closing date for applications (not your submission yet, just the form) is 31st March and then your poster/summary by the end of April.  Click HERE for the application form and details.
