Open Call: Good Pitch² Southeast Asia
Want to extend the outreach and influence of your film? Apply for Good Pitch2 Southeast Asia and the chance to forge powerful new partnerships and increase your social change impact.
Good Pitch2 Southeast Asia is being hosted by In-Docs, an Indonesian organisation dedicated to building local filmmaker capacity. EngageMedia is the official Outreach Partner for the event.
Applications close on 27 May 2016, and the inaugural event will be held in Jakarta in May 2017.
Five films will be selected to receive mentorship and support, including an IMPACT workshop, outreach support, pitching workshop, and an opportunity to pitch the project to potential alliances that can help the documentaries reach bigger audiences and produce bigger impacts.
Good Pitch2 is the satellite regional event program of Good Pitch, which was developed by Britdoc and the Sundance Documentary Institute in 2008.
Good Pitch events are different to standard pitching forums where filmmakers ask for financial support and look for distribution avenues. The events forge partnerships between filmmakers and a wide range of environmental and social change stakeholders, including NGOS, philanthropists, social entrepreneurs, corporate partners, broadcasters, educators and policy-makers.
Good Pitch aims to create coalitions and campaigns around environmental and social issues, which are good for the partners, good for the films and good for society.
