Not your average golf outing.
Thursday, August 27th, 4-7 pm
Tee Aire, 21700 Gumina Rd, Brookfield, WI 53072
Many organizations take advantage of the wonderful summer weather to do golf outings, but as designers, we wanted to opt for something a bit more relaxed and non-traditional. Join your fellow ASID Members for a round of mini-golf, fun prizes and food on August 27th.
Sign up individually or as a foursome. Chapter sponsors get a deal on a foursome and a "Putt Putt Pack" of wine or beer for the team.

Attention Chapter Volunteers!
The Wisconsin Chapter of ASID LOVES
its volunteers! Our success depends on great members who give their time and energy to the Chapter for committees, events and in many other wonderful ways. To those who have volunteered throughout this past year – THANK YOU!
If you have volunteered this year, please join us for a “Denim & Diamonds Party.”
Dress in your favorite jeans and sport your “bling-iest” “diamond” baubles for a relaxed picnic with yummy food and a Volunteer signature cocktail.

SILVER SPONSOR SPOTLIGHT
ASID WI “Top 5 Under 5” Awards – Nominations NOW OPEN!
Are you an Emerging Professional who actively participates in the Wisconsin Chapter of ASID? Do you work with an extraordinary Emerging Professional who strengthens the creative working environment at your firm or business? As an Emerging Professional, do you create and take advantage of opportunities to support the interior design profession in the public realm as a passionate ambassador of your chosen career?
If you said “YES” to any of the above… The Wisconsin Chapter of ASID is excited to announce that nominations for the ‘Top 5 Under 5 Awards’
are NOW OPEN!
The ‘Top 5 Under 5 Awards’
recognize and celebrate Emerging Professional (designers in the first five years of their professional career) Chapter members’ outstanding achievements and contributions to the Chapter, to their businesses or employers, and to the field of interior design as a whole.
Help us celebrate our Emerging Professional members by nominating yourself or someone you know! Nominees from last year who still qualify are encouraged to apply again.
Not sure who to nominate? Read the bios
of last year’s honorees for their award-winning qualities.

Five award recipients will be recognized at the Wisconsin Chapter of ASID Annual Meeting this September!
Thank you Madison for your support. We collected 2,059 pounds which puts our total weight collected at 20,821 pounds.
A big Thank you to Steve Wegner for helping us with a truck and trailer, to Erin Jende for presenting the Net-Works CEU and to Coyle Carpets for allowing us to host our event with them.
We have met our goal of 20,000 pounds and still have another month to collect materials. We can’t wait to share all of these materials with teachers, non-profits and daycares in the area. August 28th and 29th at The Green Design Center all of the materials will be available to pick up at no charge. Share the flyer
with the artists in your life, big, little, young, or old so they can find a Re_Purposeful way to use our discontinued samples.
Re_Purposeful Friday, August 28th and Saturday, August 29th. We are looking for volunteers to help us hold down the fort for 4 hour shifts, Friday from 9am-6pm and Saturday from 8am-4pm, but any time you can contribute is greatly appreciated. We could use 8-10 people at any given time which is just too much for the committee to keep up with. A Re_Purposeful t-shirt and refreshments will be provided. Tasks include: Greeting Attendees, Rearranging samples for better access, Set-up and Take-down. Please contact Kelsey@thegreendesigncenter.com
Call for Tote Bags
Do you have oodles of tote bags from trade shows, just like us, that you could never use all of? Drop them off with your samples so the teachers and crafters have an already Re_Purposed way to bring their goodies home.
Continued Drop-Off in Waukesha

Jenny S. Rebholz (DO YOU HAVE A NICKNAME?
Rebi, Wilson…and numerous others)
YEARS IN THE INDUSTRY:
PLACE OF EMPLOYMENT:
As a designer (years ago)- a memorable dining room transformation I was involved with at JW Marriott Camelback Inn in Scottsdale, AZ. When it comes to writing about design - I have been fortunate to write about amazing retail projects around the world and share career stories of some incredible retail designers for design:retail magazine.
WORDS OF WISDOM FOR YOUR YOUNGER DESIGNER SELF:
People call me a connector and I am always talking about networking, but it even took me a little time to figure out how and why to do it. To my younger self, students, emerging professionals and everyone in the industry I say…network, network, network. Networking will advance your career and the design profession.
WHAT ARE YOU LISTENING TO?
Shut Up and Dance – Walk the Moon
WHO IS YOUR INTERIOR DESIGN INSPIRATION/ICON?
My design icon is Gene Moore. If you don’t know who he is, I highly recommend researching him. I wrote an article about him for design:retail and only wish I would have had the chance to meet him. Those who really knew him were very lucky. His work has and will continue to inspire many.
