The candidates for the 2014-2015 Board of Directors open positions have been announced to the Chapter members:

Students, Educators & Professionals, it's time to register for Career Day 2014, themed "The Places You Will Go". It will once again be held at American Family in Madison on February 28th.  

Along with our keynote speaker, Renee Hytry Derrington, there will be a panel discussion, vendor fair, CEU, and Post-Career Day Party held at Erin's Snug Irish Pub for even more networking opportunities.

April 11, 2014

Location: Mount Mary University, Caroline Hall – Helfaer Hall 1st floor, west wing.

The ASID Wisconsin Annual What’s Next mini conference is teaming up with Mount Mary University Interior Design Department’s Advocates Appreciation Day.

What’s Next will take place in the morning with this year’s focus being “Women’s Leadership and Your Strengths”.   The program will be delivered by guest speakers Marjorie R. Barlow and Amy Lukken, courtesy of Interface.   [insert links to bios]  

Advocates Appreciation will take place in the afternoon and includes CEUs, networking and a student portfolio show.

Don’t be bashful! Nominate yourself, or an ASID student chapter leader to become the next 2014 Student Representative to the Board (SRB).

The SRB serves as a voice to represent all student chapters in their region. Also, the SRB gets to travel to the ASID Chapter Leadership Conference – last time it was in sunny LA!

Student Chapter Awards
ASID is on the hunt for TOP Leaders and Chapters!

In the next six weeks, you have the power to positively affect someone’s resume and career growth (or your own) by submitting a nomination for one or more of the Society’s nationally recognized awards for students. ASID Student Chapter Awards are given to outstanding student chapters, members and faculty advisors who promote ASID student membership as an enriching experience that provides valuable connections, resources and learning tools to future interior designers. This year brings new excitement as all ASID student winners will be awarded at Chapter Leadership Conference (CLC) in Los Angeles on June 2014. (Note: All travel expenses will need to be self-funded; reach out to your ASID professional chapter for funding suggestions.)

The ASID Illinois Chapter is proud to present a day of career building, networking, education to enhance professional skills, discovery of new designer resources and a way to get up to 0.4 CEU’s completed in one day. Full paid admission includes your choice of two- 0.1 CEU seminars, Keynote Speaker, Gail Doby (0.2 CEUs), lunch, and the Expo Trade Show.

Daltile Interior Design Scholarship
Third annual competition invites students to compete for a chance to win up to $10,000 in scholarships

The Daltile Interior Design Scholarship, presented by the ASID Foundation, begins on Jan. 1, 2014, and will run through March 15, 2014. The grand-prize winner of the competition will receive a $10,000 scholarship, and will be announced at NeoCon 2014. Winners of the first, second and third prizes each will receive a $2,500 scholarship, and 10 Merit Winners will each receive a $1,000 scholarship.
