Remembering A True Innovator

The global health community lost a true innovator last month with the passing of Professor Gaetano Borriello of the UW Computer Science & Engineering Department. As the founder and leader of the Open Data Kit, Gaetano dedicated a huge portion of his time developing state-of-the-art data collection tools for low-resource environments. He was extremely talented and instrumental to VillageReach in guiding the development of ODK Scan. Gaetano will be greatly missed not only by the UW and VillageReach, but by the broader global health community.
