Give NOLA Day is one week from today! Magnolia is once again participating in this community-wide day of philanthropy and charitable giving.
We are over 60% towards our goal, just from our early giving! Thank you to those who have given early to help us lead the way for adults with developmental disabilities.
This year, our goal is $17,000. Funds from Give NOLA Day support our residential, day habilitation, supported employment, recreation, and wellness programs.
$17,000 will help fill up our vans so our clients can volunteer in the community with Meals on Wheels, go on outings to JPAS plays, and more.
$17,000 will help our supported employment program reach out to local business and provide job training for our clients who want to work and earn a paycheck.
$17,000 will help our clients' emotional, mental, and physical well being in our wellness program, and their social skills with Bingos and dances in our recreation program.
The future is bright for Magnolia and our clients. Our residents recently returned to campus for daily activities after resuming bowling and church activities over the past few weeks. We hope to reopen our day habilitation program as we work to address the staffing crisis that affects our community and industry. We cannot lead the way without your support.
On behalf of our clients and the loved ones who entrust them to our care, thank you for supporting Magnolia Community Services this Give NOLA Day!
