Berkeley Earth is pleased to announce the release of our latest memo, Climate Impacts of Coal and Natural Gas. This paper compares the radiative forcing of natural gas versus coal-based electricity generation  over time. Our findings make a case for natural gas as a bridge fuel, and the full memo can be read on the Berkeley Earth website, here

Additional News + Updates

Berkeley Earth's temperature datasets are now updated through July 2014. The updated datasets can be found on the Berkeley Earth website's data page here.

If you were on the Berkeley Earth website lately, you may have noticed our new educational pamphlet, Know the facts: A skeptic's guide to climate change. The goal of this skeptic's guide is to present the facts on climate change in order to convince skeptics that climate change is real and caused by humans. The skeptic's guide can be found here on our website. If you are interested in ordering hard copies of the pamphlet, please email stephanie @

As always, we look forward to your feedback. Best regards,
