Urgent Call to Action!: CALL DHS

Right now, Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Jeh Johnson is preparing recommendations to the President of who should and should not qualify for administrative relief.  If the guidelines are too strict, millions of immigrants will be cut out of the process and at risk of deportation. Secretary Johnson and the President need to go big to keep our families and our communities from being torn apart.

Call 877-256-0284 now to reach Secretary Johnson's office to tell him to allow the family members of DREAMers and immigrants who have been here for five years or more to qualify for administrative relief!  Calls should be made starting NOW and through the week of November 3rd.

Call-in Script:

Hello, my name is (your name here) and I am calling from (insert state). I am asking Secretary Johnson to keep millions of families together by making relief available to immigrants who have been here for five years or more and to the parents of Dreamers. Thank you!

Call 877-256-0284 TODAY and ask your friends & family to call!

VOTE NO on Prop 1!

On November 4th, in addition to some important federal and state races, New York's voters will be deciding on whether to establish a commission to handle redistricting for New York State. MinKwon, having led the ACCORD coalition in a multi-year campaign against the gerrymandering of Asian American communities, is recommending that New Yorkers VOTE NO on Prop 1.

Proposition 1 will create a commission to handle redistricting in the state of New York. Of its ten members, eight will be appointed by party leaders while the remaining two will be appointed by the commission. Albany Times-Union has called this proposal a farce while New York Times has labeled it as "another way to maintain the status quo."

This amendment to the state's constitution will leave the state's redistricting process in even worse shape than it currently is, guaranteeing that party politics will trump voters' interests.
