New Chamber Members

Marilyn Wagner
Marilyn Wagner, owner/agent of WagVentures joined her business to the Lawrence County Chamber of Commerce this month. She started her home-based agency in 2013.  She worked for Ambassador Travel in Evansville, IN as an outside agent for about 2 ½ years after graduation from travel school. Then she made the decision to start her own agency WagVentures.

Marilyn handles just about any vacation one might want including trips in the US, resorts in the Caribbean and Mexico, cruises (ocean and river), Disney, Canada, etc. She doesn’t handle trips to many foreign countries unless it is with a travel supplier she likes, such as Globus, Collette, or G-Adventures that provides group tours. She also shies away from airline tickets unless booked in conjunction with a vacation of some type or with a hotel stay. Airlines don’t pay commission and can be quite difficult to deal with. Mrs. Wagner is an accredited cruise counselor with the Cruise Line International Association. She is also a member of the National Association of Career Travel Agents and the American Society of Travel Agents. She does not charge fees for her services. Marilyn is constantly taking online classes or attending training classes to keep up to date with resorts, cruise lines, etc. to have the knowledge to be able to better serve you. Her motto is, “Together, we can plan your dream adventure.”

Please visit her website at www.wagventures.com to stay up to date on specials and promotions! For more information on planning your next vacation call Marilyn Wagner at (618) 943-5419

The United Methodist Village North Campus has offered a Food Pantry for a while now to families in need. Those that are in need get a voucher from the local public aid office, or other aid facilities, and then come and pick up food from the UMV. The food pantry account has generously been funded over the years by community donations. This account is getting low and the UMV is reaching out for some support. A GoFundMe page has been created so you can donate directly online http://www.gofundme.com/umvfoodpantry For more information please call the United Methodist Village at (618) 943-3347.
