Dear Zumberas and Zumberos,
I had a Zumba filled weekend again and loved every minute of it. I think I clocked in over 35,000 steps for each day!! And so a well-deserved 2 hour massage was in the mix! Of course I’m not asking each of you to be as Zumba crazy as me, but when there is an opportunity to go to a master class with some fabulous Zumba Jammers, Zumba Education Specialists or just a group of instructors raising funds for a good cause, you should go with someone and have the time of your life. Going to class on a regular routine each week is great for your fitness goals but it is always fun but to attend these master classes too which enables you to meet other fun Zumba loving people, students and instructors. You get to experience other styles and appreciate the hard work each puts into these fun events
My weekend started on Friday night hosting a 3 hour choreography session with Miami’s Zumba Jammer, Rony Gratereaux. He is a presenter at Convention, Puerto Rican Flow and he was part of the Fitness Concert. I added all of his routines on Saturday morning and of course I did them on Sunday at 24 Hr too. Students did really well with them!
Then Saturday I went to Meli Kirkwood’s jam session and learn another 4 routines which you will see in the next week. Since I put in Alena’s from last week and Rony’s too, I will give it a week to add in some others. Hint, practice that samba move (or fake it with a pony step).
Sunday the energy was off the roof! 24Hr students (yes all 80 of you…ok who snuck in since they limit the number now) were on fire! OMG, we got so sweaty and loud! I love it when this group gets together and go crazy! I also appreciate the warm welcome you brought to Corinna.
So later in the evening for 2 hours there was the Master Class with Meli, Rony and Jhon Gonzalez. My playlist is half of Jhon’s songs: Mala Mujer, La Rumba, Ni Tu Ni Yo, A Mi Me Pone, to name a few…These three along with my favorite DJ…DJ Gringo from Miami were tearing up the crowd of 300 in San Jose. It was a wonderful evening of dancing. We even did a video for Zumba Fitness to the new song Contento (yes, that routine will be in the playlist soon!) And a portion of the proceeds will go to help the victims in Puerto Rico! All for a great cause…
In two weeks it’s the San Jose Sharks performance! Let’s do this. Attached is the flyer and all you have to do is contact Mohammed. The choreography is posted in the private group San Jose Sharks 10.14.17 Performance. Sign up and ask to join the group. No memorization needed. Zumba Jammers Robert Birchauser Sanchez and Diego Chauca made a medley of their routines for our 15 minute performance.
Also, this is one of at least 2 celebrations for my birthday and the Studio’s anniversary. Please join us if you can on October 13, Friday night. Details of the other ones will be coming soon.
Another fundraiser I have going on is Party in Pink for Breast Cancer Awareness. November 11th is the date and thank you to Fabiola Sanchez for the venue. This will be a fun times event so I hope you all can join us or donate to the cause.
Zumba hugs to all,
