The plant sale starts tomorrow, Saturday May 6th!  Near the back porch, we have beautiful starts donated by Spring Creek, Rising River, Kirsop & Calliope Farms. Starts include cabbage, kale, kohlrabi, broccoli, cauliflower, sunflowers, california poppies, garlic and more! (No tomatoes or peppers this year - sorry folks.) 

 

Now, young children can get a taste of the GRuB experience through our Seed to Table summer camps!  We are hosting two weeks of camp.  From  June 26-30, children will learn All About Seeds.  August 28-September 1, our theme is Amazing Herbs.  Each week will include daily gardening and cooking activities, as well as crafts and outdoor fun time.  Kids will make their own snack daily from produce we harvest from the farm, and we’ll make our own lunch on Fridays.  We will also take walking/Intercity Transit field trips to fun destinations such as the Heritage Park fountain. And, of course, our time together will be infused with the GRuB values of kindness, respect, and mutual support.  Parents are invited to spend some time at pickup on Fridays sampling the snacks we’ve made and learning about our week’s adventures.  Join us for a fun, enriching, and delicious experience!  


Both camps are for children ages 6-10, and run Monday-Friday from 9am-3pm.  We also have opportunities for Junior Counselors (ages 13-15) both weeks.  Click here to learn more about our Junior Counselor Program.
