In the midst of all the gloom and doom in the South Sudan, Operation Nehemiah's vision to rebuild the land for God by raising up the family and national pastors from the ashes of persecution has come to fruition. It has been 10 years since we moved into South Sudan from the Ugandan refugee camps .

We are thankful for your love for God and dedication to the body of Christ in South Sudan. In a time when so many consider South Sudan to be a lost cause, you continue to faithfully serving God's people in this part of the world.
I am headed to the South Sudan tomorrow ( 8-27) for a week with my father in-law to deliver the new radio equipment personally. Hannah and the children will be staying back in the States this time. The Lord has faithfully provided the resources to make this trip possible. Our ground team is looking forward to seeing us.
I am delighted to share with you this encouraging report depicting the speed at which our ground team are strengthening the work on the ground. The progress in the farmland, the Beth Israel farm house, and the restoration of radio facility on Gordon Mountain cause us to rejoice before our God.
The roofing on the farmhouse has been completed and is now ready for electric wiring. I will be visiting the site during our stay in Borongole. My family and I are looking forward to seeing how God will use this new house for His glory. Lord willing, our Beth Israel home will be a center of godly hospitality, discipleship, and Christ centered productivity in the years to come.
The renovation process of the radio facility has begun with painting, door replacement and main gate repair, in addition to fencing the entire premise and installing security cameras. We see the hand of God in helping us to continue spreading the Gospel to the unreached people of South Sudan and Uganda.
Deuteronomy 31:6 Be strong and courageous. Do not fear or be in dread of them, for it is the LORD your God who goes with you. He will not leave you or forsake you.”
Hope for South Sudan on the horizon:
On Wednesday, August 26, 2015 at 4: 58 PM South Sudan time, the President of South Sudan, Salva Kiir Madarat signed the long awaited peace agreement with the rebel faction, bringing two years of bloodshed and displacement of thousands to an end. Please join us in prayer for the peace of Christ to reign in the hearts of the South Sudanese, which will alone bring the lasting stability so longed for.
By God's grace and sustaining power, we never left the country and our work never stopped from going forward throughout the last two years of civil war. We therefore believe that God has planted us there for His purpose and glory.
Philippians 4:6-7 Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
