LITERACY TIPS WITH MARY

Ms. Mary is our Literacy Specialist here at SSLDL!
LITERACY TIP:
Singing:
Singing slows down language to the syllabic level, enabling you and your child to think and hear the sounds that make up the words in a song.  There is a different note for each syllable. Songs are also full of words, easy and difficult, that can expand your child's vocabulary.

Register for our upcoming  family program, I Got the Rhythm to learn how songs can help your child get ready to read. This fun interactive program is Saturday March 3rd from 1:00-2:00pm.  (Ages 3-7 years old)
