Time to File a 2016-2017 FAFSA
FIU Priority Deadline is March 1

The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is an online application form that determines a student’s eligibility for student financial aid in the combination of grants, student employment or student loan assistance.

In order to file a FAFSA, the first important step for students and parent(s) is to create a Federal Student ID (FSA ID). FAFSA is no longer using the PIN system. See instructions on how to create an FSA ID. When completing the FAFSA use FIU’s Federal school code: 009365

Note: Admitted students beginning FIU during the Early Fall 2016 semester (classes start May 16, 2016) will be required to complete two FAFSA applications:
 -Early Fall for 2015-2016
 -Fall 2016 or Spring 2017 for 2016-2017
