|NEWS FROM CITY OF SANFORD!
Due to these circumstances, the City has made the very difficult decision to cancel the Memorial Day festivities
scheduled on Monday, May 25th out of an abundance of caution for the health of both the participants and spectators.
On Monday, May 25th, the City of Sanford’s Veterans Memorial Park, located at 110 W. Seminole Boulevard will be ceremoniously dressed with flags and a wreath between 8 AM and 4 PM
as a tribute to our fallen heroes. This Memorial Day weekend the City of Sanford encourages all to remember the final and noble sacrifices of our service men and women who laid down their lives in the cause of freedom.
In addition, after careful staff review of the City’s annual 4th of July celebration “Star Spangled Sanford”, it has been determined due to past crowded conditions throughout Ft. Mellon Park and along the lakefront, the City has canceled this popular event along the shores of Lake Monroe.
