Save the date and mark your calendars to join us in Historic Downtown Sanford as we celebrate the heartbeat of our community - our small businesses!

We are once again organizing our Passport Program.

Join us downtown to pick up your official passport. Then begin exploring, shopping and dining in our beautiful downtown Sanford. When you complete your passport, submit it to Sunshine State Threads to receive a FREE gift from all of us as a thank you for supporting our community merchants! Supplies are limited, so make sure you make your rounds early. In addition to receiving a free gift, you will be entered into a drawing to WIN the SANFORD CHRISTMAS WREATH!

On November 28th for Small Business Saturday, Historic Downtown Sanford will be hosting the first-ever Open Container event from 2pm-midnight within a specific footprint.

OPEN CONTAINER RULES:
— Must be 21+ and please drink responsibly.
— Beverages must be purchased from downtown restaurants and bars.
— Beverage is to be poured in downtown restaurants and bars by staff.
— Beverage must be in plastic cups on the streets and within the footprint.
— Please respect local store rules before entering with a beverage.
— Masks are required upon entering shops, restaurants, and bars.
— Mask wearing and social distancing outdoors following local ordinances.
The organizers ask that everyone please be courteous and respectful of others as we try to support our local businesses during a critical time when they need you the most to continue providing jobs and keeping our community thriving. Together we can get through this and continue #sanfordingsafely!

The Sanford Holiday Tour of Drinks is back! Starting December 1, join us for the “Light Up Sanford” Holiday Tour of Drinks as 10 of our amazing establishments downtown create a unique holiday cocktail/drink created specifically for this event. $1 from each drink special will be donated back to the Sanford Historic Trust through the entire month of December!

WORLD PREMIERE ADAPTATION OF A BELOVED HOLIDAY STORY!
It’s 1958, and in New London, Ohio, the 30th Annual Christmas Spectacular is opening tomorrow! At the helm is a fussy director who has lost the true spirit of Christmas, and it looks like “spectacular” will be a long shot. With the help of unexpected visitors from the past, present, and future, one whirlwind evening helps the director, and the whole community, come together for a spectacle this town will never forget!

We are excited to present “Light Up Sanford” in lieu of the traditional Sanford Holiday Tour of Homes. The Sanford Historic Trust has proudly partnered with The City of Sanford to bring neighbors and neighborhoods together in a fun, covid friendly, socially distanced holiday tradition. Residents of Sanford will decorate the exterior of their homes for a chance to win a $500 prize! Hop in your car, jump on a bike, grab the golf cart, or stroll the neighborhoods for this self-guided tour. We can't wait to see our community back in action and Sanfording safely!
