It’s Always Time to Review or Adopt Safe Church Policies

In a letter to churches of the Hawai'i Conference, Conference Minister Charles Buck and Conference Council Chair Iese Tuuao encourage updating or establishing safe church policies and practices.  The letter includes helpful resources available on the web.

Deadline Approaches for 'Aha Pae'aina Registration

Monday, May 9, is the deadline to register for the 'Aha Pae'aina ('Aha Iki, June 8-9; 'Aha Makua, June 10-11).  Information packets were mailed to churches and can also be accessed online.  A late fee of $30 will be charged after May 9.

Young Adults Can Intern in Seattle

The Justice Leadership Program of the Pacific Northwest Conference UCC has openings for young adults (ages 21-35) to participate in eleven-month internships in Seattle, Washington.  Information can be found on the Justice Leadership Program website, or email jlp.elizabeth@gmail.com.

Established by the O'ahu Association, the Annual Lumana'i Scholarship Awards recognize O'ahu high school seniors of Samoan ancestry for academic achievement, leadership, and community service in various award categories.  View photos from the 2016 Award Banquet held on April 21 at Central Union Church.

Kaua'i Gathers for 'Aha Mele and Visioning

The Kaua'i Association Spring 'Aha Mokupuni will take place this Friday and Saturday, April 29 and 30, at Kapa'a First Hawaiian Church.  On Friday, beginning at 5:30 p.m., there will be a dinner and 'Aha Mele.  On Saturday, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., in addition to the business meeting, delegates will engage in a “hands-on” visioning process for the Association and its churches. 


Cornerstone Fund Seeks President/CEO
