Churches have the option of entering yearbook data on-line or filling out paper forms.  Instructions on submitting information for the UCC Yearbook were previously sent to churches.  Deadline for submitting information is March 2.  Contact Lori Yamashiro at or at 808-791-5645 if you have questions.

Participate in Faith Communities Survey

Churches are invited to participate in the largest multi-faith survey of congregational life, Faith Communities Today (FACT).  FACT provides insight into what is happening within and among UCC churches, and compares data and trends with 25 different Christian, Jewish, Muslim and Bahai faith groups.  Last day to fill out the survey is March 31.

September Conference Aims to Widen Churches’ Welcome

UCC Mental Health Ministry and UCC Disabilities Ministry will host “Widening the Welcome: Inclusion for All,” a conference to help churches be welcoming and inclusive communities, including for those touched by or experiencing mental illness, brain disorder, or disability.  The conference will take place in Hartford, Connecticut, September 24-26.


Crossroads Presents “A Gift of Love” Concert

The Crossroads Choir will present its 18th Music Scholarship Concert on February 28, 7:00 p.m., at Church of the Crossroads (1212 University Avenue, Honolulu).  The concert features music from students of all ages who have been awarded scholarships from the church for private lessons.

Pearl City Church Holds White Elephant

Pearl City Community Church (933 Lehua Avenue, Pearl City) will hold a White Elephant Sale on Saturday, March 7, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.  Plants, baked goods, and food will be available for purchase.

SONrise Easter Service at Kawaiaha'o

Kawaiaha'o Church (957 Punchbowl Street, Honolulu) will partner with other churches in the community for its SONrise Easter Service on the front lawn of the church beginning at 6 a.m. on Easter Sunday, April 5. Josh Hayashi to Be Ordained

Josh Hayashi was approved for ordination pending a call by the O'ahu Association at an ecclesiastical council on February 22.  The service of ordination will take place at Makiki Christian Church (829 Pensacola Street) on Sunday, April 26, at 4 p.m.

O'ahu Association Convenes Ecclesiastical Council

The O'ahu Association will examine Frances Wong for ordination at an ecclesiastical council on Sunday, March 22, 4 p.m., at Waiokeola Congregational Church (4705 Kilauea Avenue, Honolulu).  To ensure quorum, churches are asked to indicate whether they will attend or not by emailing or calling 808-791-5633.  Click HERE for more information and to download her ordination paper.
