Missionary Intern Visits Hawai'i
Kristine Tisinger, a UCC/Disciples missionary intern, will visit the Hawai'i Conference from June 1 to July 10 to speak about her work at Theological Education by Extension College in Johannesburg, South Africa. Click HERE

Return Your Yearbook Forms
Deadline to turn in UCC Yearbook forms is February 22. Instructions and details regarding the forms were mailed to churches in January. If your church did not receive these forms, please contact Lori Yamashiro at 808-791-5645 or email@example.com
. Churches that submit completed forms by the deadline will be eligible to win one of five gift certificates.
Nomination Forms Mailed to Churches
Nominating forms and position descriptions for volunteer positions in the Hawai'i Conference United Church of Christ were sent out to churches in January. Nominees for all positions will be elected at the 'Aha Pae'aina in June and begin on July 1. Deadline for submitting nominations is March 1. Forms may be downloaded by clicking HERE

Hawai`i Members Nominated to United Church Board
Two people from Hawai'i have been nominated to the new United Church Board of the UCC. Caroline Belsom
of Waiola UCC (Maui) and Dean Wakuzawa
of Kailua Christian Church (O'ahu) are among the 36 at-large nominees to be elected at General Synod in Long Beach this July. The United Church Board will serve as the governing board for the denomination and its Covenanted Ministries: Local Church Ministries, Justice and Witness Ministries, and Wider Church Ministries.
David and Ruth Sandberg completed their terms as Co-Interim Pastors of Windward UCC on January 31. They returned to their home in California.
After two years Neal MacPherson concluded his ministry as Interim Pastor of Liliuokalani Protestant Church on January 31. Neal is currently serving as Interim Minister of Fairview Baptist Church in Vancouver, British Columbia.

Preacher Keynotes Britt Lectures
Anna Carter Florence will speak at the Britt Lectures, to be given over three evenings, February 15-17, 7 p.m., at First United Methodist Church (1020 S. Beretania Street, Honolulu). Anna, the Peter Marshall Associate Professor of Preaching at Columbia Theological Seminary in Decatur, Georgia, will also lead a workshop for clergy on Monday, February 18, 9 a.m., at the church.
