Deadline to register for the Clergy Retreat is this Friday, February 1. Information was mailed to churches and can be viewed online HERE. To register online, click HERE. Registrations received after the deadline will be charged a $25 late fee.

General Synod Registration Now Open

Registration is now open for visitors planning to attend UCC General Synod, which will be held June 28-July 2 in Long Beach, California. Youth Are Invited to General Synod

Youth, ages 13-18, are invited to a special youth program at General Synod this year, “Y@GS,” beginning June 26, two days prior to the start of Synod, and concluding with the end of Synod on July 2.  Churches are encouraged to send a group or coordinate with another church to create a group that will travel and room together.  (There will not be a Hawai'i Conference group.) Registration, including payment, is online.  Housing at one of the General Synod hotels must be made separately.  Click the links below for more information:

Investment Performance to Be Discussed on Webinar

David Klassen, Chief Investment Officer of United Church Funds (UCF), will host a webinar on February 1, 8:00 a.m. (Hawai'i time), to review UCF’s fourth quarter performance and to look ahead at expectations for the new year.  For information and to register for the webinar, click HERE.  A video of the webinar will be available for viewing on UCF's website by the end of the day on February 1.


Preach-In for the Planet

Every year around Valentine's Day, Interfaith Power and Light (IPL) organizes the National Preach-In event to bring attention to global warming and climate change.  For information on ways you can participate or to register to receive materials and resources, click HERE. Church of the Crossroads in Honolulu is planning a Preach-In event during Sunday morning worship on February 10.

Understanding the Spiritual Wounds of Sexual Abuse

A two-day workshop on Moloka'i will address child sexual abuse and ways that church leaders and members can support victims, families, and abusers.  The workshop will be held on February 13 and 14 at Kulana Oiwi-OHA Conference Room (602 Moana Loa Highway, Kaunakakai).  Click HERE to view the flyer.


Kauaha'ao Hosts Aha Mele

Kawaiaha'o Seeks Wedding Coordinator

A part-time (25 hours) position is available for a personable and customer-oriented individual to oversee bookings of weddings, funerals and other special events at Kawaiaha'o Church.
