Hawai'i Island Meets for 'Aha Mokupuni
The Hawai'i Island Association 'Aha Mokupuni
will be held this Saturday, May 31, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., at Church of the Holy Cross (440 W. Lanikaula Street, Hilo). Highlights include worship, sharing, elections, and boundary training.
'Aha Pae'aina Updates
- Handbooks for the 'Aha Makua and 'Aha Iki have been posted on the Conference website.
- Parking for the 'Aha Makua will be limited. Attendees are encouraged to carpool, get dropped off, or arrive early. Click HERE for parking suggestions and options.
- 'Aha Makua worship planners invite people to bring a three to eight-foot long piece of yarn, string, light rope, reed, crumpled paper, wool, etc. on Friday. These will be woven into a wall hanging to symbolize the 'Aha Pae'aina theme, “Bind Us Together."
Boesak Speaks in Hawai'i, Schedule Revised
The schedule of events
for Allan Boesak's appearances in Hawai'i has been revised. Dr. Boesak, the Desmond Tutu Chair of Peace, Global Justice and Reconciliation Studies at Butler University and Christian Theological Seminary in Indianapolis, was last year's 'Aha Pae'aina keynote speaker.
