Disasters Affect Lives in Nepal and Pacific

Earthquake in Nepal
Last Saturday’s 7.8 magnitude earthquake and the resulting aftershocks have killed thousands and leveled villages.  The United Church of Christ is already working with partners in the region in recovery and relief.  You can support these efforts by giving to the UCC’s International Emergency Relief fund.  Please include “Nepal Earthquake Relief” in the memo line.

Typhoon Hits Chuuk and Yap
In late March, Typhoon Maysak destroyed homes and much of the locally grown food in Chuuk and Yap.  The UCC will work with the Micronesian Council of the United Church of Christ (MCUCC) to provide funds for food, water, recovery and rebuilding.  Donations may be sent to the Hawai'i Conference United Church of Christ or made online.  Please note on the check or in a cover note: “Typhoon Maysak.”
