Get Ready for Fall Youth Camp
This year’s Fall Youth Camp for youth in grades 6 to 12 will be held at Camp Homelani from September 30 to October 3. A mailing with information and registration forms will be sent soon to churches.
First Chinese Welcomes International Students
First Chinese Church of Christ hosted international students from 14 countries for an ukulele workshop on July 16. The International Youth Camp was sponsored by the Lion's Club. Click HERE

Anglican Archbishop Desmond Tutu of South Africa will participate in an Interfaith Prayer Service at the Cathedral of St. Andrew this Sunday, August 5, at 5:30 p.m. Click HERE

AHEC Announces Events
The Association of Hawaiian Evangelical Churches will hold a Recognition of Licensing Service for Clara Daog on September 29 at Opihikao Church (Opihikao Road and Kalapana-Kapoho Road). Clara is a licensed minister serving at Opihikao Church. Click HERE to view the flyer.
The 'Aha Halawai will be held October 19-20 at Pa'ia Hawaiian Church (675 Akakuu Street) on Maui. Information will be posted on the website and mailed to churches.
Kaua'i Association Labor Day Events
Lihu'e United Church will host its annual Labor Day Pancake Breakfast on Monday, September 3, from 7 to 10 a.m., at the church (4340 Nawiliwili Road). The breakfast is a fundraiser for missions, and this year’s profits will support the church’s community garden that provides free produce for the local food pantry. In conjunction with the pancake breakfast, the Kaua'i Association Youth Committee is holding a car wash. Guests at the breakfast can have their car washed while eating pancakes. Proceeds from the Car Wash will support youth attending the Conference Youth Camp in October. Click HERE to download a flyer to post at your church.
O'ahu Association Offers Polity Course
The O'ahu Association is offering a five-course series on UCC polity and history for those seeking UCC ministerial standing. The next session, “Theology,” will be held at the Conference Office on Saturday, August 11, from 9 a.m. to noon. Courses are free, but you must RSVP. retired as Chaplain of Kamehameha Schools Hawai'i on July 20. He will retire as Pastor of Kahikolu Congregational Church on August 26. Wendell will move to O'ahu where he will become Chaplain at Mid-Pacific Institute.
