Receive Daily Lenten Prayers from “Words Matter”

Every day during Lent, “Words Matter,” an initiative of the Justice for Women Working Group of the National Council of the Churches of Christ in the USA, will post online expansive-language prayers in a wide variety of forms from a diverse group of people. Carbon Fast for Lent

Looking to give up something for Lent? Try a carbon fast! Sign up and each day of Lent, beginning today, Ash Wednesday, you will receive an email message suggesting an activity that reduces the amount of carbon put into the air. Daily emails will continue through Easter Sunday, April 8. Click HERE to find out more and to sign up.

Call for Nominations

The Hawai'i Conference Nominating Committee invites nominations of qualified candidates for various volunteer positions in the Hawai'i Conference. Click HERE to view the position descriptions and nominating form, which were mailed to churches and Associations in January. The deadline for submitting nominations is March 2, and forms should be returned to the Conference Office, c/o HCUCC Nominations Committee.

New on the Website: AHEC 'Aha Halawai

The 'Aha Halawai of the Association of Hawaiian Evangelical Churches was held on February 17 and 18, at Waiola Church on Maui. Service of Recognition for newly licensed ministers Grale Chong and Anela Rosa was part of the events. Click HERE for pictures.

Final Reminder: UCC Yearbook Forms

Deadline to turn in UCC Yearbook forms is this Friday, February 24. Instructions and details regarding the forms were mailed to churches in January. If your church did not receive the forms, please contact Lori Yamashiro at 808-791-5645 or lyamashiro@hcucc.org. Churches that submit completed forms by the deadline will be eligible to win one of five gift certificates.
