Taize Service Highlights Week of Prayer for Christian Unity
As part of the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity, the Hawai'i Council of Churches and Honolulu Diocese of the Roman Catholic Church invite all to a Taizé service of sacred music, scripture and prayer
tomorrow at 7:30 p.m. at the Newman Center/Holy Spirit Parish on the campus of the University of Hawai'i at Manoa. Clergy are invited to wear clerical vestments from their own traditions.

Maui Caregivers Discuss Care of the Seriously Ill
what the patient wanted for end of life?” is the topic of an advanced health care planning conference
for chaplains, ministers, health care and social service professionals, and others who care for seriously ill patients. The conference, sponsored by HMSA, Maui County Office of Aging, Pacific Health Ministry and others, will be held February 13, 1-4:30 p.m., at Maui College. Service Communities Bring Together UCC Young Adults
Young Adult Service Communities
bring together young adults, age 21-35, for nine months of work with community agencies or congregations and opportunities for reflection and vocational discernment. There are six locations throughout the United States, each running from September 2015 to July 2016. Housing, food stipend, and health insurance are provided. Application deadline is February 15.
O'ahu Youth Invited to Gather Together
Youth 'Ohana UCC, or YOU, gathers youth from UCC churches on O'ahu. The next gathering will be at Community Church of Honolulu (2345 Nu'uanu Avenue) on Saturday, February 21, 6-8 p.m. Details of the Association-planned trip to the 2016 UCC National Youth Event in Orlando, Florida, will be shared, along with plans for upcoming fundraisers. NYE Bound Youth on O'ahu Plan Fundraiser
A steak or chicken plate lunch fundraiser
to raise money for youth attending the 2016 National Youth Event in Florida will be held on Sunday, April 12, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., at Pearl City Community Church. Tickets go on sale beginning in February. Lunches can be delivered to O'ahu churches to coincide with the ending of worship. Adult and youth volunteers are needed. Interim Ministry Network Offers Classes
The Interim Ministry Network offers training for ministers interested in interim ministry through its Fundamentals of Transitional Ministry (FTM) courses, including these:
FTM: The Work of the Leader
is a three-day introductory course to interim ministry and will be offered February 24-26, 2015, in Los Angeles.
FTM: The Work of the Congregation
builds on the first course and provides tools for congregational leadership during times of transition. This class will be held March 2-6, 2015, in Jacksonville, Florida.
