Plan Now for Fall Youth Camp

The Hawai'i Conference Fall Youth Camp will be held from Sunday, October 6, to Tuesday, October 8, at Camp Mokule'ia on the North Shore of O'ahu.  Information will be mailed to churches soon.

Register for Online UCC History, Polity and Theology Class

UCC History, Polity and Theology will be offered in a series of online classes by the Center for Progressive Renewal from August 28 through November 27.  The class meets the requirements of most committees on ministry in the UCC and is equivalent to a three-credit course in eight seminaries. Registration is limited.

Travel to Italy with Eden Seminary

International Partners in Mission (IPM), a partner of Eden Seminary, is offering a study trip to Italy from December 27, 2013, to January 6, 2014.  Register by September 6 to reserve your place.

O'ahu Association Installs Pastor at Windward UCC

The O'ahu Association will install Jayne Ryan Kuroiwa as Pastor and Teacher of Windward United Church of Christ (38 Kaneohe Bay Drive, Kailua) on Sunday, August 18, 4 p.m., at the church. Workshop Examines Call to Ministry

The Tri-Isle Association is sponsoring a workshop on “Call and Discernment,” on Sunday, August 25, 2-4 p.m., at Wailuku Union Church (327 South High Street, Wailuku).  Leading the workshop is Stephen Boyd, UCC Minister for Chaplains and Specialized Ministries, who will discuss the discernment process, the call to pastoral ministry, multiple paths to ministry, mentoring and training.  For more information, call the church office at 808-244-9177.

Attend Investors Workshop on September 21

The Hawai'i Conference and Hawai'i Conference Foundation will host an Investors Workshop on Saturday, September 21, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., at Kawaiaha'o Plaza (567 South King Street). Churches that currently have custodial investment accounts as well as those that don't and want to learn more about investing are encouraged to attend. The cost is $25, which includes lunch. Deadline to register is September 13. Space is limited, so please register soon.
