UCC Approves Vision and Purpose Statements

The United Church of Christ Board of Directors, at its meeting last week in Cleveland, approved new Purpose, Mission and Vision statements for the denomination. General Minister and President, John Dorhauer, affirmed the statements, which focus on seeking justice through love.

Focus Groups Meet on O'ahu

As part of the Conference-wide assessment, focus groups are being held on every island over the next few months.  The first groups will meet on O'ahu next week.

Forgiveness Project Stresses Nonviolence

Building on Forgiveness” is the subject of a talk by Wendy Baldwin and Chris Miller as part of the “Reconciliation” series sponsored by the Hawai'i Forgiveness Project.  The talk takes place this Friday, November 4, 6 p.m., at St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church (229 Queen Emma Square, Honolulu).
