'Aha Pae'aina Youth Delegates Gather
Youth attending the 'Aha Pae'aina, June 8-9, either as delegates or visitors, will be included in all 'Aha activities and will be given opportunities to assist with some of those events. Conference Youth Gathering
On Friday night, 'Aha youth and O'ahu youth not attending the 'Aha are invited to a special youth gathering at Waipahu UCC from 7 to 10 p.m. There is no cost for 'Aha registered participants; all other youth are $5 each. PSR Offers Summer Courses

Pacific School of Religion offers laypersons, clergy and seminarians over twenty summer courses on subjects such as spirituality, theology and leadership. These courses, scheduled at various times between July 2 and August 10, can be taken online or at the Berkeley, California, campus, and may be audited or taken for academic or continuing education credit. Waipahu UCC Bazaar

Waipahu United Church of Christ (94-330 Mokuola Street, Waipahu) will hold its semi-annual bazaar on Saturday, April 28, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Huli Huli chicken, homemade breads and ethnic foods, jams, clothing and plants will be available for purchase. Proceeds will support the ministry of the church.

Kailua Christian Rummage Sale

Kailua Christian Church (317 Manono Street, Kailua) will hold a rummage sale on Saturday, May 5, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Proceeds from the sale of snacks, clothing, housewares, toys, books and more will support the ministries of the church.

Installation Service at Makiki Church

The O'ahu Association will install Kiyoshi Gushiken as Japanese-language Pastor of Makiki Christian Church (829 Pensacola Street) on Sunday, May 27, 4:00 p.m., at the church. In Memory: Daniel R. Nebres

Retired Pastor Daniel Nebres died April 18 in the Philippines at the age of 77. Dan was Pastor of Honolulu Cosmopolitan UCC (which later merged with Moanalua Community Church) from 1980 until his retirement. His family includes his wife, Casilda Luzares; children Lloyd, Marigrace, Nathan, and Peter; and three grandchildren. His first wife, Fe, a former Associate Conference Minister, died in 2004.
