Ka Baibala Hemolele Now Available

After more than ten years in the making, Ka Baibala Hemolele will be available this fall. Scholarship Helps Students Explore Seminary

Eden Theological Seminary in St. Louis has announced a new scholarship to cover full tuition for an “exploratory year” for UCC students entering the Master of Divinity program. To qualify, a student must be a member of a UCC church and become a Member in Discernment within an Association. The tuition waiver is for first-year students only. For more information, click HERE.

Webinar: Healthy Boundaries for Church Leaders

FaithTrust Institute invites church leaders to a webinar, “Healthy Boundaries as a Leader in Your Congregation: What You Need to Know.” The webinar will be offered on May 22, from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. (Hawai‘i time), and is free of charge. Super Teen Recognized

Matthew Buck, son of Conference Minister Charles Buck, was recognized at the HUGS 30th Anniversary Gala this last Saturday as a “Super Teen” for his volunteer work with families with seriously ill children. Matt, a junior at Punahou School, has been a HUGS volunteer for the last four years. Click HERE to find out more about HUGS.

Hawai'i Youth at International Science Fair

April McCann of Waipahu UCC and Rebecca Weible of Kailua Christian Church are two of 26 high school students representing Hawai'i this week at the Intel International Science and Engineering Fair in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. April, a sophomore at Mililani High School, won a scholarship at the Hawai'i State Science Fair in April. Rebecca, a senior at Castle High School, won the Windward District Science Fair in February.

Central Union Church Member Named Distinguished Principal

Evelyn “Evie” Hao, member of Central Union Church, has been selected Distinguished Principal of the Year for the Honolulu District, which includes more than sixty schools. The recognition is based on her cumulative years of outstanding work at Kuhio Elementary School.
