Council of Churches Sponsors 116th Sunrise Service

The Hawai'i Council of Churches, which includes the Hawai'i Conference UCC, invites everyone to the 116th Annual Easter Sunrise Service on Sunday, April 16, starting at 6:15 a.m. (gate opens at 4:30 a.m.).  Participants this year include the Royal Hawaiian Band, the Rev. Brandon Duran of Central Union Church and the Central Union Youth Choir.

Mission Houses Hosts Concerts Under the Stars

ONA Coalition Meets Prior to Synod

The Open and Affirming (ONA) Coalition of the United Church of Christ will hold its National ONA Gathering, “100% Open and Affirming: The Road Ahead,” from June 27 to 29 in Baltimore, just ahead of the UCC General Synod.


National Park Worker Retires, Becomes Pastor

A recent article in the Moloka'i Dispatch recognizes retired National Park Service worker, Richard Miller, for his role in the historic preservation program at Kalaupapa.  Richard is now pastor of Kana'ana Hou-Siloama Church.
