Conference Office Closes for Holy Week

The Conference Office will be closed on Holy Thursday, March 24, and Good Friday, March 25.  The office will reopen on Monday, March 28.

Easter Sunrise Service Features Kawaiaha'o Member, Senator

Daniel Akaka, member of Kawaiaha'o Church and retired U.S. Senator, will be the preacher at the Easter Sunrise Service at Punchbowl this Sunday at 6:15 a.m. (gate opens at 4:30 a.m.).  This annual ecumenical service, now in its 115th year, is sponsored by the Hawai'i Council of Churches, which includes the Hawai'i Conference UCC.

Volunteers Needed to Help Restore Camp Mokule’ia

Two weeks ago, ferocious waves engulfed Camp Mokule'ia on the North Shore of O'ahu, devastating the camp’s sea wall and grounds.  Volunteers are needed for restoration efforts this Friday, March 25, and Saturday, March 26, anytime from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Scholarship Supports Windward O'ahu Students

Event Supports Women Transitioning from Prison

"Celebrating Freedom,” a Pu'a Foundation fundraiser benefiting women transitioning out of prison, will be held this Friday, March 25, 5:30-9 p.m., at Kapi'olani Community College’s Ohia Dining Room.

Claremont President Discusses Book of Job

Jeffrey Kuan, President of Claremont School of Theology and Professor of Hebrew Bible, will lead a class on the book of Job on Friday, April 15, 9 a.m.-4 p.m, and deliver a lecture on Saturday, April 16, 9-11 a.m., both at Wesley United Methodist Church (1350 Hunakai Street, Honolulu).

Maui Church Holds Fundraiser

Ka'ahumanu Church will hold its annual Pulehu Steak Plate Fundraiser on April 16 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tickets are $10 each and can be purchased by calling 808-281-8711.


Kalaupapa National Historical Park is looking for Teacher-Ranger-Teachers to assist with developing curriculum.  Preference will be given to teachers from Moloka'i.
