Attend Investors Workshop on March 31
The Hawai'i Conference and Hawai'i Conference Foundation will host an Investors Workshop on Saturday, March 31, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., at Kawaiaha'o Plaza (567 South King Street). Churches that currently have custodial investment accounts as well as those that don't and want to learn more about investing are encouraged to attend. Click HERE

Turn in UCC Yearbook Forms
Deadline to turn in UCC Yearbook forms is February 24. Instructions and details regarding the forms were mailed to churches in January. If your church did not receive the forms please contact Lori Yamashiro at 808-791-5645 or email@example.com

Faith Practices Brings Churches Together
Faith Practices is an online, theme-based resource published by the UCC for use in Christian education, worship or small groups. "Keeping the Sabbath," "Living Stewardship," and "Playing and Living Joyfully" are three of the six themes currently available. New themes will be developed in coming years. A fee of $300 gives a congregation access to all current and future resource material. Click HERE

Fly Delta and Help Asian Rural Institute
Asian Rural Institute (ARI) in Japan, a UCC Global Ministries partner, suffered extensive damage from the March 11, 2011, earthquake and the radiation exposure that followed. You can support ARI in its rebuilding by flying Delta Airlines and emailing the ticket number (beginning with 006) of any flight after March 1, 2011, to email@example.com
. ARI will receive points, which can be used to book flights for its program participants. Submitting a ticket number will not affect frequent flier miles earned by the individual. Click HERE

White House Staff Hosts Conference Call on Budget
Advisors and staff from several White House Offices, including the Office of Faith-based and Neighborhood Partnerships, will host a conference call tomorrow, February 16, 9:30 a.m. (HST), to discuss President Obama’s Fiscal Year 2013 Budget. The call will highlight the Obama Administration’s budget priorities and provide an opportunity for participants to ask questions. Click HERE

Wai'oli Hui'ia Fundraiser
“Remembering Hanalei Plantation Hotel” is a fundraiser to be held at Wai'oli Hui'ia Church (5-5393A Kuhio Hwy., Hanalei) on Saturday, February 18, from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The event will celebrate the one hundredth anniversary of the “Green Church” Sanctuary, and proceeds will be used for restoration, repair and maintenance of the building. Pancakes and Follies
Waiokeola Congregational Church (4705 Kilauea Avenue, Honolulu) will host a free Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper and Mardi Gras Follies on February 21, 5:30 p.m. The Follies will feature singing, dancing, skits and a magic show. Ash Wednesday service, including imposition of ashes, will be held the following day, February 22, 7 p.m., in the church sanctuary.
Plant and Book Sale
Central Union Church (1660 S. Beretania Street, Honolulu) will hold a Plant and Book Sale on Saturday, March 3, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The sale is sponsored by the Music Ministry and hosted by the Thrift Shop. Proceeds will go towards purchasing a new console piano for Atherton Chapel. Click HERE
