Churches Participate in World Climate Conference

Lili'uokalani Church Hosts Christmas Cantata
"Festival of Lights" is a Christmas cantata being performed at Lili'uokalani Protestant Church (66-090 Kamehameha Hwy, Haleiwa) on two evenings, December 18 and 19, beginning at 7:30 p.m.  Choir members and youth from Waialua UCC and Lili'uokalani Protestant Church will be among the performers.  For more information, call 637-9364.
 
Church of the Pacific Presents Living Nativity
The biblical story of Christmas will be performed in a Living Nativity Pageant at Church of the Pacific (4520 Kapaka Road, Princeville) on Sunday, December 20, at 6:30 p.m.
 
Churches Offer Blue Christmas Services

Ecumenical Community Invited to Unity Service

As part of the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity, the Hawai'i Council of Churches and Honolulu Diocese of the Roman Catholic Church invite all to a Taizé service of sacred music, scripture and prayer on Thursday, January 21, 7 p.m., at the Newman Center/Holy Spirit Parish on the campus of the University of Hawai'i at Manoa.

Back Bay Mission, a community ministry of the United Church of Christ located in Biloxi, Mississippi, will open its 2017 Mission Trip Calendar to group and individual volunteers on January 1, 2016.

Don Sevetson, retired minister and former Interim Hawai'i Conference Minister, is the editor of A Public Spirit, a newly published collection of writings by 19th century missionary, George H. Atkinson, who was a pioneering figure in Oregon history.
