UCC Statistics Reveal Interesting and Helpful Information

Did you know that ordained female ministers have increased from 33.4% of all ministers in 2004 to 47.7% in 2014?  Or that the average tenure of ministers serving a church is approximately eight and-a-half years?  These and other statistics can be found in the 2014 UCC Statistical Profile. The profile contains general statistical data related to the denomination and can help local church leaders apply the data to their context for the purpose of visioning future possibilities.

Volunteers Needed for Hurricane Sandy Recovery

Fifteen volunteers are needed from November 30 to December 5 to help build homes for Hurricane Sandy survivors in New Jersey.  There is no cost for volunteering, and tools and construction materials will be supplied.  This effort is sponsored by Brethren Disaster Ministries and supported by a grant from UCC Disaster Ministries. Attend Church Leaders Event in February
The 2015 Church Leaders Event will be held Saturday, February 28, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., at Nu'uanu Congregational Church (2651 Pali Highway, Honolulu).  Full information and registration will be mailed later and available on-line. 

Clergy Gather in Early Spring
The 2015 Hawai'i Conference Clergy Retreat will be held from Monday, March 9, to Wednesday, March 11, at Courtyard King Kamehameha's Kona Beach Hotel in Kailua-Kona on Hawai'i Island.  Details and registration information will be available in January.
