General updates... 


  • We apologise for any inconvenience caused by the booking and payment system being out of action on Sunday 12th. I hope everything is now sorted for those of you that had payment issues.
  • I have another order due to arrive of the non slip toe socks for this term. Let me know if interested, they are $5 a pair, I will leave them with your instructor.

HOW TO PAY & PRINT YOUR INVOICE
Some of you are having difficulties locating your invoices online and marking off payments. Please read the following instructions.
You will find all term receipts under the My Invoice Tab. To pay or print click the pencil icon to the right of invoice detail. A new screen will appear payment options are at the bottom of invoice. Once payment is made print receipt by clicking PDF icon in the top right of screen. If you have paid via bank deposit please mark off your payment by entering the transaction number at the bottom of the invoice page. If you do not mark of your payment your invoice will remain outstanding.

Don't forget to view our regular feature in which we film a common Pilates/rehab based exercise with cues and progressions for you to watch and practice at home. Each exercise video can be found on the website in the articles section where we frequently upload tips on health, nutrition and exercise.   I hope you can try some of these exercises in your daily routine, make it a habit and feel the difference!

The Push Up

In this exercise Claire shows us how to perform a push up with good form and control. There are 3 progressions for you to try and master. It really is the essential upper limb strengthening exercise!

Staff Top Tips... 


Sally- As the weather is still far from warm try a dandelion tea instead of a coffee. Dandelion tea, or granules, contain chemicals that may increase urine production and help with water retention, bloating and even inflammation. It has also been seen to improve the function & maintenance of a healthy liver, kidney, pancreas, spleen, stomach & gall bladder. What a winner!! My favourite brand is Symingtons Instant (the red can)

Michelle- New recipe! 

Turn boring oats into something packed with some extra protein too! Add a whipped egg close to the end of cooking. Mix in as much or as little as you like. Personally I like making it with small chunks of egg however my husband enjoys it completely mixed in adding extra thickness!

Erin- One way to try to reduce body aches and pains is to include anti inflammatory foods in our diet.  A few foods to try to incorporate include tumeric, blueberries, walnuts and garlic. While some  to avoid include processed foods, sugar, and white flour. 

Alex- With these wintery cold days it is important to remember to stay hydrated, especially if those heating systems have been working hard to keep the home warm. Drinking herbal tea is a tasty way to improve hydration. Herbal teas include ginger, mint, jasmine, lemon grass, and chamomile.

Emily- What do you want to achieve with your body? Set yourself realistic, timely goals to keep you motivated and on track to success.

 

Make up classes...


 

The option to do make up classes remains a supplementary feature.  IF there is room in a class for that term, then make up classes may be taken.

REMINDER:  We will place on the website at the end of week 2 which sessions have space in them for the current term. This will be in the ‘Timetable’ section ABOVE the Roseville timetable.

Due to the fact that we take clients into the programme until the end of week 3, we will not be allowing makeup classes in the first 3 weeks of term until we have finalised class numbers.

Some of you are feeling like we are not answering your emails promptly enough regarding make up classes, as office hours for Pro-align are only Tuesday and Friday afternoon, we can miss your same day requests to do make up classes. I hope you can understand and accept our apologies.

Please refer to the website from hence forth, go to a class of the same level or below, and introduce yourself to your teacher.

I hope this new system makes life a little easier.


Home Exercise Sheets... 


For those of you that would like some structure to your home rehab, we have some home exercise sheets with a theme for each term. There are 10 exercises, 1 for each week based of a movement and recruitment theme. 

Please ask your teacher if you would like a copy. 

Alternatively pick one exercise from our extensive free video library on the site and focus on that for the week. Progressions are often shown on the video.
