BitFire Buzz

News from the team at BitFire Networks

It’s hard to believe BitFire is celebrating our first anniversary this month.
And we’re just getting started!

We wanted to share a big announcement with you about our plans for continued company expansion amid a year of major growth within the video transmission industry.

We’d also like to highlight just a few of our biggest projects and what’s ahead in year two.

Thank you for being part of our journey.

A year of unprecedented success.
See just a few of the exciting projects we’ve been a part of.

In our first year, BitFire worked with such notable clients as MLB Network, CBS Sports, TEGNA, Tamron Hall and Judge Jerry.

Our technology was integral in supporting others, whose productions included events for the NFL, NHL, PGA Tour and NCAA Tournament.

Just a few of our highlights:
  • If you watched this week’s MLB Draft, you may have seen some of our most recent work. With MLB Network’s broadcast center in New Jersey and All-Star festivities in Denver, BitFire connected all the excitement by providing remote feeds for all 30 MLB teams, as well as 15 of the top prospects across the country. Feeds were routed to MLBN and ESPN, with both networks interviewing the major players live once they were selected. See the full story here in SVG news.
  • Using BitFire, talent's video, audio and IFB are seamlessly integrated into the Major League Baseball Network (MLBN) production control rooms. With multiple on-air talent able to contribute from their homes and remote locations, BitFire is able to support several productions each week; including MLB Now, High Heat, MLB Central, On The Fly, Hot Stove and Bettor's Eye.
  • The Professional Fighters League (PFL) is the number two global market leader in the Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) industry and we were honored to play a crucial role. BitFire's technology is used to bridge together four separate production locations across the country, enabling their live events to seamlessly broadcast across the U.S. and more than 160 countries worldwide.
  • BitFire provided critical support to the PGA Tour during the 2021 PLAYERS Championship. Our real-time video transport solution allowed remote operators to monitor each hole of the event from their offices in Scottsdale, Arizona...more than 2,000 miles away from the on-site television production compound in Ponte Vedra, Florida.
  • Skycam - BitFire deployed our platform to allow SkyCam to monitor, communicate with operators and even remotely pilot their camera systems across all of their productions, including the NFL, NCAA Football, the Final Four and championship boxing.

Even though golf’s oldest major championship, the Open Championship is still in full swing, event producers are already thinking about next year.
